Sunny Oaks, Inc was rebranding. They provide care for people with I/DD. They wanted a home, a sun, and an oak leaf, all parts of their previous logo. I minimalized those elements, using a fresh, modern color palette and a sanserif typeface.
Michael is a simple man. His photography is simple as well…but there’s always a beautiful hidden element. I wanted to do the same with his logo. The camera service mark is built using an iris and his initials.
Gear is a new luxury apartment complex in Seattle. The client wanted a mountain and a river. The trick was to do this without it looking generic. I used a slab-serif typeface, changing the A into a mountain and a small ribbon used to represent water.
Joie was part of a logo competition at an international Children’s Products company. The stipulation was the addition of a leaf and the color green. I used a serif typeface, modifying the J to invoke a youthful yet timeless feeling.
